1. The God of the Bible is the just and gracious Creator of all things.

“…all things were created by him, and for him; and he is before all things, and by him, all things consist.” Colossians 1:16 (Genesis 1:1) 

Response: Realize that God created us, and we are accountable to Him.

 

2. We have all chosen to sin against God and deserve His judgment and wrath.

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23 (Romans 5:12, Revelation 21:8, John 3:36)

Response: Realize that because of your sin, you deserve to be separated from God for eternity in Hell.

 

3. In love, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross and rise from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins.

“…the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6 (John 3:16, 1 John 2:2)

Response: Recognize that we are helpless to have peace with God apart from Jesus Christ.

 

4.  The only way to be forgiven of our sins is through faith in Jesus Christ. 

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 (Romans 6:23)

Response: Understand that to have true faith in Jesus, you must reject your unbelief and self-sufficiency, turn to Jesus, and trust Him alone for forgiveness.

 

5.  Our eternal destiny depends on what Jesus Christ has done for us and our response to Him. 

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Romans 10:13 (John 14:6)

Response: Call out to God to save you from your sin. Put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior.
